TV 430

How easy would it be to make this a front closing garment? I have to get myself dressed so back closure isn't an option. Thought I ask before I decide to buy.
Thank you. :)

OK so one more. What would you suggest here for the under-and overskirt?

Pattern suggestions needed, please.

I really would like to make a dress like this lovely lady is wearing in this 1879 painting. Which patterns would you suggest for the skirt and overskirt? Hard to tell since she is sitting but any input would be appreciated. https://www.christies.com/lotfinder/Lot/jules-emile-saintin-french-1829-1894...

TV461 yoked blouse

I am so confused and could use some help, please :?
For the front sections is says to turn under 1/4" and then again 1" but how about the front yoke? Does it just get the facing?
Thank you for your help.

TV 324 mash-up

OK. I had a few questions. First: I want to use the TV 324(long draped overskirt) front but will shirr the center and the sides instead of making just pleats on the side. I do like the back panel but it isn't enough oomph in the back. Could I use the TV365(August Overskirt)/TV326 (Hermione overskirt...

Re: TV 461 fitting question

After I re-read my post I realised that it wasn't quiet clear. The 1/2" is in between the bust and neck, so basically I shorten it over the bust to take out excess fabric not at center front. the neck is still the same size as before. I will make a mock-up without taking out any excess fabric a...

TV 461 fitting question

I had a question. Usually I take out about 1/2 " in the top section of my bodices. Do I do the same on the yoke for the blouse or is it not necessary since it isn't a tight fitting garment? Thanks for your time. I know you have to be very busy right now. Oh and I really enjoy following your pos...

TV324?

So I have been looking at this lovely painting. I can clearly make the blouse out (TV461 for that) but not sure about the overskirt. I figured if I get the TV 324 and maybe shirr it up in the center? Hard to tell since she is sitting sidways. Also thought that I could maybe use part of the 326 (just...

Re: TV 423 Two-tone bodice

Thank you Heather. I actually left the boning out of that seam and it was fine since I always bone all the other channels. :)

TV 423 Two-tone bodice

Does the back seam (not center back) get boning since it goes all the way to the shoulder or can it be left alone?
Or would I place the boning like I normally would do for the side back seam?
Thank you for your time!!!! :)

Re: TV 291 pattern lay-out

Ha! I found a way to do it. I had to lengthen the pattern 3" but am able to make the side front and the front be cut on the fold and it will leave enough fabric to then cut the other pieces separate. It is a close call but it will work!!! Thanks Heather for your input. Your last comment made me...
