Not sure what bodice you're using, but how about puffings -- gather a fabric strip on both edges with cording & apply to your bodice. The base fabric will show through, which I think you'll like since you chose sheer fabric? An example is here, Wednesday's project: http://www.loveandstitches.com...

Heather, thanks for your recommendations! The Star of India is wonderful, and the other vessels at the Maritime Museum as well! I believe a 1904 steam yacht is something I need . Visiting San Diego

Good morning!

I will visit San Diego in March and would like to know about local historic sites.

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, the county's Victorian Village Heritage Park, what do you recommend, especially for family members who may be less interested?
